About the DC Charter Chapter

The DC Charter Chapter was chartered in 1960 and currently has a membership of approximately 58 talented, diverse women. The DC Charter Chapter of the American Business Womens Association is one of the most vibrant business women's groups in the Washington metropolitan area, providing its members with lifelong connections and endless opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Reaching out to its surrounding community, the chapter has long made a practice of awarding scholarship money to deserving recipients on an annual basis. The DC Charter Chapter
members also support several community service programs annually.

Today, the DC Charter Chapter continues to grow and thrive, contributing to its community and
to ABWA's national organization.

The Charter Chapter welcomes women at every stage of their working lives, from students
through retired professionals. The DC Charter Chapter is here to serve you. Guests are always welcome at our monthly meetings, and every DC Charter Chapter member will be happy to answer visitor's questions about this vibrant, exciting organization. Monthly meetings offer a chance for members and visitors to learn, network and explore new possibilities, while the group's other activities allow members to develop leadership and other skills.
